FBI Defends Stand Against Apple on Encryption

    FBI chief James Comey on Tuesday defended his agency's efforts to force Apple to help unlock an iPhone in the San Bernardino attacks probe.

    Comey told lawmakers worried about setting a harmful precedent that law enforcement's job may be crippled by "warrant-proof spaces" that become inaccessible to investigators.
